For some time now, researchers in New Zealand have been working with three dogs in a research project that involves intelligence and coordination. With what must have been a tremendous amount of training and a ton of treats, researchers were actually able to teach dogs to start a car, drive, shift, accelerate, and steer using only their paws.
But how did the dogs do on the driving course? You might be surprised – watch the video and find out!
These tests were conducted by the Auckland Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in an effort to prove canine intelligence and promote dog adoptions in shelters.
